About ATPL Tests
A small team.
A shared journey.
We are a very small team, and every one of us is a pilot. ATPL Tests grew out of our own experiences and a desire to build something useful for the aviation community.
The beginning
It started with
a simple idea.
Our story began in late 2022 under the name ATPL Academy. We wanted to build something of our own that other aviation enthusiasts could use. Drawing on our own experiences, we decided to create a platform for ATPL exam preparation.
Around two years ago, ATPL Academy became ATPL Tests. What started as a hobby project has since grown far beyond anything we imagined.
- Late 2022ATPL Academy
A hobby project, built around a shared interest in aviation.

A new name for the project you know today.
- TodayStill a small team
A growing platform, driven by the same goal.
A pilot's perspective
We know what
the journey takes.
We know the commitment this journey takes: the cost of training, the hundreds of hours spent studying, and the determination needed to get where we are today.
During our own studies, we often found that preparation tools were expensive or inconvenient to use. That gave our project a clear purpose. We wanted to make high-quality questions and clear explanations more affordable, with an interface that made studying straightforward.
From the beginning, we aimed to make the questions and answer options as close as possible to those encountered in official ATPL exams. We also wanted the explanations to help students work through difficult concepts and understand why an answer is correct.
These are the things we valued as students ourselves, and they continue to guide our work.
Growing together
Bigger than
we ever imagined.
Seeing so many people use something we built and knowing it plays a part in their aviation journey means a great deal to us.
We are still a small team, working to improve the platform and give it a sustainable future. There is more to maintain, more to develop and always something we can make better. Feedback from our community helps us decide where to focus that effort.
To our community
Thank you for being part of it.
To everyone who has studied with us, recommended ATPL Tests, reported a problem or supported us with a donation: thank you. You have helped this project grow into something much bigger than we expected.
